Meet Zion, a one year old Terrier/Dachshund mix! This energetic boy is house-trained, sleeps comfortably in his kennel at night, and is happy to relax when his people are away. Zion is friendly with other dogs and warms up quickly to new humans. He might give a curious bark, but it’s all excitement!

 

Zion does great in the car and walks nicely on a leash but he is still mastering a few basic manners, like keeping all four paws on the ground when he greets you—he loves to show off his jumping skills! He’s also what we call a “pacifier dog.” When he gets excited, he’ll gently mouth your hand or arm, much like a baby uses a pacifier to soothe themselves. We're working on redirecting this by encouraging him to grab his favorite toy instead! 

 

Zion is an incredibly sweet cuddler, always eager to curl up close and shower you with affection after a long day of play. While he can be a bit of a picky eater—preferring wet food over kibble—he remains open to trying new things in hopes of discovering a tastier option!

 

With consistent training and positive reinforcement, Zion will quickly learn his manners and may find joy in having a special hobby to expend his energy! He’s incredibly smart, eager to please, and ready to be the best companion he can be!
