Meet Fitz – Your Loyal Shadow and Adventure Buddy!

Fitz is a sweet, affectionate dog who’s ready to find his forever family. He gets along well with both people and other dogs, making him the perfect addition to any home. His foster mom nicknamed him “Shadow” because he loves to follow her everywhere and snuggle up close for naps.

Fitz’s tail is always wagging with excitement, a true reflection of his happy and loving personality! He’s potty trained and hasn’t had any accidents in the house—when he needs to go out, he’ll go to the door to let you know. While he’s still working on his greeting manners (he sometimes likes to give enthusiastic “hugs” to new people), he is making progress.

Fitz is a smart boy who is picking up “sit” very quickly and is highly treat-motivated, making training both fun and rewarding.

He’s a dream in his kennel—quiet, well-behaved, and sleeping soundly through the night. Fitz is still getting used to indoor living, as he likely spent much of his life outside. Sometimes he hesitates to come in from the backyard, but a few treats and some gentle encouragement are all it takes to coax him inside.

Curious and adventurous, Fitz loves exploring his surroundings. Thanks to his inquisitive nature and eagerness to learn, his foster mom believes he’d make an excellent hunting companion.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving dog who will be your constant companion, Fitz is your guy. He’s ready to shower his new family with affection, tail wags, and plenty of snuggles. 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $575.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
