Celeste is a Standard Poodle born approximately November, 202.  She came into our home a bit shy and uncertain but each day has relaxed more and revealed more of her sweet and friendly personality! She is clearly housetrained and has had no accidents. Celeste has shown signs of being familiar and comfortable with being in a kennel as she will go in there on her own. Overnight and during the brief moments left alone she has not needed to be placed in a kennel as there are no behavioral issues or concerns. She does well with older kids and is tolerable of younger children, but clearly is not the biggest fan of the little ones. She has not yet met a cat but does have chase instincts towards squirrels. She likely would have the same reaction towards cats as squirrels. Celeste has been tolerant towards other dogs, so far mostly ignores them. She is not great at going on walks and is a heavy puller on the leash and requires a gentle leader. Celeste does pretty well in the car and mostly lays down. Her energy level is moderate. She clearly loves walks and play but also thoroughly enjoys napping while snuggling her people. She is left alone very minimally, 2-3 hours at most a day alone. We are not yet sure how she does alone but hopeful she will self soothe and lay down. She is so precious and has alot of love to give. One of her quirks is she gently jumps up on certain people placing her paws on the chest and remains there. It seems to be her way of giving hugs! I have been given very little to no information on her history but is clear she has had a loving family in the past, and she has not lost faith in people!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
