Hello furever family! I’m Shaggit but my foster family calls me Shaggy. I made it to NDLB from the Lake Traverse Reservation. I’m a young, energetic, affectionate terrier mix guy looking for my perfect family!

 

I may be young, but I’m doing well with my training. I already know how to sit and am 95% there with my potty training! I occasionally like to mark in new places but I do well with redirection. My foster mom works from home so I only go in my crate when she leaves for about 3-4 hours at a time. I cry at first but I settle down. I’m very excited when she comes home! I love going places and ride comfortably in the back seat of the car. I love going on walks and I’m working on my loose leash walking. 

 

There are some other things I’m working on. I am incredibly affectionate with both dogs and humans alike! Therefore, I am working on respectful greetings with humans (no jumping up) and learning respectful boundaries with dogs who don’t want to play. It would be best if I was in a home with no children under 5 because my foster mom is worried I’d knock them over with my love. Also, I would love a playful dog sibling but so far I don’t really like cats. 

 

I love cuddling and playing. I appreciate that the small dogs I’m currently living with will play with me (sometimes). I’m also happy playing with toys on my own or chewing on a bone. I don’t destroy toys or chew on things I’m not supposed to. I can have lots of energy but I also like hanging out on the couch and snuggling in. 

 

My perfect family would commit to taking me to training (have I mentioned I’m really smart?) and taking me on a walk ideally once a day. They would also have to love lots of kisses and snuggles! Could I be your guy? With lots of love, Shaggy.
