I’ve never written a bio  before,  they never taught me when I went to school. Actually, I never went to school! I’m a dog!   Bear with me as I type this, my paws aren’t used to a keyboard.   There are a lot of things I don’t know about  myself but  let me tell you about the things I do know. I went for a run one day, just to stretch my legs out, and the local law picked me up. Something about running without proper identification? I don’t know, but they locked me up and then everybody started calling me Amaryllis. So, nice to meet you, my name is Amaryllis. I am a gentle, fluffy Husky.   I’m around 1-2 years old, or at least that’s what everybody keeps telling me. I’m young and I like to learn. I don’t have many skills, yet, but my foster mommy just taught me what this word, “sit” means. It was so neat, every time she said the magic word, if I just plopped my fluffy butt on the ground, she gave me a little snack! I love getting special treats, so now I sit down as quickly as  possible  so I don’t miss out on more food!  I'm completely house training and crate trained.  I also love the car.   When I’m not snuggled in my crate, I love exploring, and I love when my foster parents take me for a walk. I get so  excited  and I just want to smell all the smells! They walk incredibly  slow,  so I have to pull them along in order to take in all the magnificent scents. I can’t pull them along the entire way, so eventually I slow down and walk at their pace…slow pokes.    If you want some love, I’m your lady! Your pets will probably put me to sleep, they are the best. If you have a brush, I think I like that better than being pet. Actually, I love both, just as long as you are giving me attention. I don’t think there is a person I’ve met that I don’t get along with, you humans are so nice. I am a bit jumpy though, so I might be better suited for a home with older kids versus young little ones.  I like other dogs, too, but after a little bit, they make me anxious. I'll need slow introductions with new dog friends.  My foster parents are working on my anxiety, but after you’ve seen what I’ve seen on the streets…you  gotta  keep your guard up! However, I can feel myself going a little soft around this new foster family. They make me feel so special, sometimes I even catch myself smiling because I’m so happy.
