Hi everyone my name is Kanga and I am a Staffordshire Terrier born roughly 3/8/23! I’m a cute ball of energy who loves life! Before my foster family got me, I was in a shelter for 45+ days so I’m still getting out that energy and remembering what it’s like to be a dog. My foster mom thinks I’m silly because I’m so intrigued by every smell and the simplest things like leaves and pine cones. When I first got picked up I was a bit hesitant about my foster dad but I warmed up quickly and love people. I haven’t had an accident once in the house, and I do well in my kennel when my foster parents go to work. My foster family says I’ll be a social butterfly because I get along with other dogs and enjoy playing. I don’t know about kitties though as I’ve never met one. I enjoy running around with dogs and at home when my foster family is busy, I tend to amuse myself by chewing on a bone or playing with one of my toys. I’m not huge on playing ball but maybe when it gets warmer. Although I love everyone I meet, I’d do better in a house that doesn’t have little kids because I’m still learning how to be a dog, and would do better with kids who are older and dog savvy. I’d do best with an active family and wouldn’t mind a yard and a dog to romp around with. I do ok walking on a leash, and am working on not biting it when I’m anxious or excited. I start good manners obedience training this coming week with my foster family, but they think I’ll do great because I’m smart and treat motivated. My other favorite thing is being next to my people.
