Meet Patrick, a Great Pyrenees born approx 9/12/24. Patrick is a big, fluffy puppy, very affectionate and curious. He warmed up very quickly to our family. He loves pets and snuggles, and never wants to be too far from us. He also LOVES treats! He’s a quick learner. We are working on “sit” and “stay” and learning some leash manners. He does well on his leash but will need the usual training to learn not to pull! He likes his crate and doesn’t fuss when he goes there overnight, or when we are out. During the day, he will spend two to three hours in his crate at a time. He is mostly house trained, but has had an accident - we are still learning his cues for when he needs to go! So for now, we need to keep an eye on him whenever he’s not in his crate. He does get the puppy zoomies in the evening, and can get excited when a lot is going on - typical puppy energy. We are working on manners like not jumping on people. He seems good with kids so far, but very small ones might get knocked over when he’s excited. He’s very curious about our cat. He has chased her, but when she tells him to back off, he does! He’s more shy of people when out on his leash, but has done well meeting people in our yard.
