Flynn is a beautiful, German shepherd-mix with a fluffy tail and neck.  He’s 56 lbs and about 2 years old. He’s a bit smaller than your average full-grown German shepherd.  Flynn is pretty laid-back.  He’s happy to sit on the deck and watch the world go by, but on the other hand, he will jump and catch a Frisbee or tennis ball for hours of fun.  Flynn can do many tricks: sit, lay down, play dead, shake, stay, come and fetch.  Flynn can catch a flying Frisbee in mid-air or swim to fetch sticks from the lake. His deep voice might sound a little scary, when he plays with kids and other dogs, but he has been friendly and gentle with everyone he meets. (just look out—he takes you for a walk not vice-versa). He’s mostly a quiet dog, only barking for strangers at the door or when his Frisbee gets stuck in the tree. He currently lives with two cats, which he finds fascinating, the Tomcat has ‘told Flynn off’ and so Flynn doesn’t bother to try to catch the cats anymore. Flynn is kennel-trained. Just say ‘kennel’ and point at it for him to go in. This good boy will travel quietly for hours to the cabin or sleep silently through the night in his kennel, without any whining or complaining. He doesn’t go on furniture or beds. His idea of begging for a treat is lying still on the kitchen floor with pleading eyes in front of the refrigerator. When you look into his sad brown eyes, you’ll know immediately he is a very smart boy. There is a lot of wisdom in those eyes, it’s almost as if he knows that he is waiting to be adopted.
