Pepper is a great dog! He is more affectionate than most schnauzers, but still pretty independent. He LOVES playing with my little terrier, and also all the dogs at the dog park! He has a little anxiety when first meeting a new animal (exhibited in whining and tense posture) but gets over it pretty fast. The only time I have heard him bark is at the dog park. We have major road construction going on in my neighborhood right now, and he never ever barks at all the noise or even the workers in our yard! I don't think he was allowed in the house or car at his previous home - he balks at going in the front door or car and has to be carried. He comes in the back door just fine. He also needs help learning how to walk on leash. He doesn't pull, he just doesn't seem to know how to "go for a walk".  I do believe Pepper needs to be in a home with at least one other dog. He is sweet, friendly and easy to love!
