Sammie is such a character! He is a gentle young boy and a sweetheart.  He loves older kids and other dogs, and gets along fine with cats.  He walks great on a leash and likes car rides.  Sammie would be a great running partner and would do great in a house with another dog. He does great in his kennel when his people are away.  He is not hyper, but is very playful, so would love to have another dog to live with. He is very attentive to what is going on around him. 

Sammie is also a snuggler and loves to sit on your lap. He does great at night snuggling up to his people in bed and will stay there all night, so there is no need to kennel him.

The only times we hear him bark is when he wants to get in on the action when his foster siblings are playing or getting attention from their people. He wants to be included. It's really kind of cute. Bigger dogs, such as german shepherds and malmutes seem to intimidate him.

Sammie has done great at recent meet/greet events at Petmart. He greets people with friendly wags and waits for a pet on the head. He is a curious fella and has been known to run out the front door if you aren't watching.

Sammie’s adoption includes: 4DX heartworm/tick test, rabies vaccination, DHPP vaccination, de-wormer, flea/tick preventive, heartworm preventive, neuter, micro-chip (pre-paid registration) and a full vet exam. Adoption fee: $275.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
