Hi, my name is Ice. I am a very loving and affectionate dog, and I do very well with training. I have not been trained too much, just what my foster dad has taught me. I can sit very well, although I get super excited so its hard for me to sit perfectly still. I am also working on the command "stay". I know my name as well and come when called, and my foster dad has also taught me to come to the door when he knocks on it. This way he doesn't have to open the door until I am there. I am crate trained, although I enjoy being out of the kennel when people are home. I looove food though, so I should warn you not to leave food on the counter, because my nose is amazing. I also love the occasional pigs ear, as well as chewing on nylon bones and antlers. Those are my favorite toys, and occasionally I like other toys but those are my main ones.
I love being petted, especially on my head and belly. If you are sitting on a couch or lying in bed, I may creep my front legs up there and say hi. I know I am not supposed to get on the furniture but I figure unless my back legs are up, then I am not on it. :) I am a big fan though of just lying down next to you and sleep on the floor. Sometimes I even have dreams where I am running. I also like a fenced in yard, as I like being outside. Don't leave me outside too long by myself though, maybe 15 minutes tops. If I am out there longer, I kinda get bored and find digging holes entertaining.
I haven't gone for too many walks, although I do well on a leash. I like to pull some though, so one of those metal, auto tightening collars helps me relax and not pull. I absolutely love car rides though! I love to sit in the back seat and stick my head out of the window. I also have a foster brother currently named Scout which I love playing with. I love other dogs and enjoy playing around with them. There are just a couple things to keep up with me regarding other dogs, I do eat my pigs ears really fast and if not watched like to grab other dogs.
If I do get dirty outside, I do pretty well with baths. As long as you are inbetween me and the exit from the tub that is. If I ever get crazy with eating my food super fast or anything, I just need a day of someone sitting with me while I eat. Occasionally taking my food away for a minute or throwing their hand into my food. I don't like to bite though, the only time I may nip a little is when getting hand fed food, and I accidentally nip a little instead of licking. My foster dad is working on breaking that habit though. I have never bitten anyone or another dog though before though.
Ice's adoption fee includes: 4DX heartworm/tick test, rabies vaccination, DHPP vaccination, Bordetella vaccination, de-wormer, flea/tick preventive, heartworm preventive, neuter, micro-chip (pre-paid registration) and a full vet exam. Adoption fee: $275.00
