As Ellie's foster Mom I can honestly say I've never met a dog that likes people more than Ellie does. She prefers humans to dogs, but gets along great with small, dogs, big dogs and cats.  She looks just like a Rottweiler but without any of the markings of one, and she has the soft, silky hair of a Black Lab. She's still so young that she needs some basic training like lay down, stay, and learning not to jump up.  She already knew Sit, Off and Down when I got her, but she doesn't know some other basic house manners (like not pushing out the door when it's opened).    She likes people so much she doesn't even bark when someone comes to the door. She ALWAYS wants to be by her human and loves to give kisses, snuggle, and just be near you.  She is so smart I taught her "wait" by the second day she was with me, and she gets it most of the time but it's only been a week so she still sometimes goes through the door before I give her the o.k.  She also learned "kennel" in two days and she HATED her kennel when I first got her. She is treat motivated so training is a breeze, but loves her people so much you don't even need the treats for training.   She's never had an accident in the house so I know she is fully house trained but she hasn't ever asked me to go outside. I just take her out in the morning and evening when I'm home from work and before bed. She wants to be by her human so much she is the fastest dog at going potty and she's back at the door to come inside seconds later.  Ellie would make an excellent pet for any house but she does still jump so she could knock over children since she's a bigger, muscular dog.  She learns so quick though so I wouldn't think it would be a problem after a little more training.

 Ellie’s adoption fee includes: Rabies vaccination, DHPP vaccination, bordetella vaccination, de-wormer, 4DX heartworm/tick disease test, spay, flea and tick preventive, heartworm preventive, pre-paid micro-chip, and a full veterinary exam. Adoption fee:  $285.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
