Thor is a one-and-a-half year old Great Dane with an extremely sweet personality (and the world's cutest ears!) He is good with dogs, cats and kids and generally loves everyone, wanting to follow you from room to room, leaning against you to soak up the love. He's thrilled to go for walks, does well on a leash, and is learning basic commands. He knows "go to your bed" and seems to feel secure having a crate to go to, although he is also trustworthy out of a crate - he is housebroken and doesn't chew. He does, however, have special needs: Thor has severe food allergies and was significantly underweight when he came into rescue, with raw spots on his skin. He is now on a special diet and has improved greatly but he still needs to put on more weight and his skin is still sensitive. His tail, in particular, is apt to bleed because he smacks it into things when he wags it, and it frequently needs to be bandaged. Thor's ideal family would know and love Great Danes, understand food allergies, and be committed to continuing to give him the dog food he needs for his condition, along with a healthy dose of love. Getting Thor back in top shape may take patience but this sweet dog will pay you back a hundred times over in devotion. 

Thor's adoption fee includes: Rabies vaccination, DHPP vaccination, bordetella vaccination, de-wormer, 4DX heartworm/tick disease test, neuter, flea and tick preventive & heartworm preventive (seasonal), dental, pre-paid micro-chip, and a full veterinary exam. Adoption fee: $325.00
