A little about me…Miss Kate

They say I'm around 4 years old and have so much love bundled up inside me to give to my forever family. I know I can be shy sometimes, like when you’re trying to put a leash on me.  Other then that, once I know your good, then I'm good.  I love to be pet and have my ears massaged.  In fact you could do this all day and I wouldn’t complain a bit. My foster mom says I remind her of a bunny.  (Something about the Energizer Bunny she says?) I think she’s talking about how I never really sit or lay down, at least in the house. I do lay down outside after I play too much, other than that I get my rest in my kennel at night. I love having people around me.  It doesn't matter who, I just want someone to pay attention to me. I really like being outside to sit and listen to all the sounds, oh yeh, and running and sniffing for all the scents in the ground. My foster Mom says I would do great in a fenced in yard because sometimes my sniffer gets a going and I don’t even realize that I’m out of the yard. I do well on a tie out though as long as you don't get to far away from me, if you do I might bark or even howl if you don't pay attention to me. I play well with my foster brother.  He is a young Lab and gets a little nervous around me.  I show him how to play it cool like a lady does. The barn cats here have taken a liking to me.  I don’t mind them.  They have chickens here too.  I could care less. However those horses are just a little too scary for me right now!  Also, I'd prefer to stay far away from anything with an engine or any loud sounds.  I really, really like going for walks.  I’m not the best at it.  But hey I gotta smell things and wherever that smell is I have to find it. So if you happen to be in my way well you might get wrapped up with my leash, oh well…move, problem solved! I have had a couple accidents in the house in this first week.  However I do not have any accidents in my kennel. I’m trying to perfect this and Mom says it gonna take some time.  I think sometimes I just get too excited and don’t completely relieve myself. So in a little bit I might have to go again.  Mom just takes me out quite often so I don't accidently go in the house and I'm doing really good with this. Sometimes when I'm in the house and want to go out I will do the slightest whine.    Otherwise I'm really pretty quiet. I don't really care too much about treats...don't wanna mess my petite girlish figure.  However a good rawhide or a bone from the butcher shop really hits the spot and Mom says it keeps me busy for awhile.   If your curious about me and want to learn more contact.

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
