Rose  is by far the best foster dog we've ever had the pleasure to open our home to. She loves people and wants to be where her people are at all the time. She's not great at hiding her emotions as when she's excited to see you or happy, not only does her tail wag but her whole body wiggles! It's the cutest thing!  Rose  is very smart; in the first few days we taught her "come", "down", and "wait". She already knew "sit", and did shake one of the times we worked on that with her ;) still working on that one! She kennels up very nicely and goes right in when you tell her to. In fact, when she needs a time out we can tell her kennel and she will go in and stay in until we tell her it's ok to come out (with the kennel door open). She's completely potty trained and hasn't had one accident in our home - she is our first foster who hasn't had at least one accident (most will at least want to mark a little bit on the first day).

Rose  didn't get much attention growing up so she can be a bit demanding for it. She's good with other dogs but if she's getting attention from someone and another dog comes up she might let off a small growl. Once she is corrected that's the end of that. When other dogs get attention she likes to put herself in front so she's receiving the attention. We have worked on that with her and she now backs up and sits until it's her turn for pets. Ideally, she would do great in a home as an only dog because of her past - growing up with other dogs but not getting attention :( If I could see her go to a home where she got all of the attention she would be in absolute heaven, because that's all she wants! She does have a prey instinct so she would not do well around livestock. I had her off leash and she stays near me, however I'm not sure I could correct her if she started chasing after a rabbit or something. My dog was like this and I corrected it by using a shock collar (NOT the shock part) that makes a beeping noise. The beeping noise is at a pitch that makes her uncomfortable and want to come back to me immediately (and we trained her with it on so she knew beep means come). I'm sure that would work with  Rose , she's by all means smart enough.

All in all,  Rose  is the sweetest girl I could ever imagine and deserves the best of the best home! The family who adopts this lover is going to be one lucky family. This one will be hard for us to let go of.

PS: as you can tell, she is the worlds biggest cuddler....and is obsessed with my husband :)
