This handsome guy is Charlie! He's a three year old, neutered male St. Bernard -- and, at 130 pounds, he's the biggest goofball in town! This boy has a puppy-like personality and he loves his people. He will gladly follow you everywhere and flops down for a belly rub whenever he gets the chance. This isn't a guy who wants to be outside all day; he prefers to be a house dog and stay where the action is. He is housebroken and crate trained and knows a couple of basic commands, like "sit" and "down," but he is still working on his "house manners" and learning to walk on a leash. (We have been working with a gentle leader, but he is still learning not to pull.) Like all St. Bernards, he's a messy drinker, but otherwise he doesn't really drool. He is good with kids, but does better with older kids because he doesn't know his own size and may knock smaller kids down. Charlie needs slow and careful introductions to other dogs. He gets over-excited when he meets a new dog and may overwhelm them with his size and booming voice, but once he gets to know them, he loves to play!  He is interested in cats and will chase a cat that runs. Charlie would do best in a home experienced with giant-breed dogs, with people committed to working with him. This big-hearted, loving dog is eager to bond with you!

Charlie's adoption fee includes:  rabies vaccination, DHPP vaccination, de-wormer, 4DX heartworm/tick disease test, neuter, flea and tick preventive, heartworm preventive, pre-paid micro-chip, and a full veterinary exam. Adoption fee: $295.00
