Ginger is a very sweet, female adult minpin.  She is good with other animals and is house and kennel trained.  She loves attention and will get a little jealous if another animal is receiving attention.  She loves the outdoors and going for walks, but gets cold easily, so a jacket or sweater is necessary on cold days.  She was once abused so she gets nervous and skiddish when meeting new people, especially men, but will warm up after a period of time once she gets to know the person.  It took her about one and a half weeks to get accustomed to us, her foster family, but now gets very excited and greets each one of us even if we’ve only been upstairs for a few minutes.  She does not like to be left behind when we leave our house and will often whine and howl in her kennel when we leave, and then gets super excited when we return.  She loves to snuggle, especially if you have a blanket.  She also like to play with balls and play chase with you.  Our cat has grown to like her and they often play together or hang out together.  For the first couple weeks that we cared for her, night time was a challenge.  She would howl most of the night in her kennel.  But now that she has gotten used to being here, she does a great job going in her kennel when we tell her to, and will sleep their quietly all night.  She is a sporatic eater and somewhat picky.  She definitely likes “flavor” with her food (as she doesn't really like just plain dog food), so we will usually add warm water to make a gravy, or add a little broth or something.  She does need to be in a fenced yard as she will escape.  She is house trained, though has had some accidents when she has gotten nervous or very excited.  She does have a weird potty schedule, and sometimes will only go three times in a day.  We call her a sponge since it seems like she refuses to go sometimes, and then when she does, she goes a lot!
She has a very sweet, gentle, and loving personality.
