Paco is a sweet gentle dog but is only just learning how to interact with people.  A house with children will not be a problem.  They are not as scary as adults. He is quiet boy and has only barked a few times.  He is learning to walk on a leash and does well until he sees people he doesn't know.  He loves being outside and needs family that will walk him or take him to a dog park regularly or has a fenced yard to run around in.  He doesn't play with toys or chew on things.

  Paco will benefit from being in a household with an existing dog as they are comforting to him.  His kennel door is left open but he does not sit in it anymore but says out with the group.  He is comfortable laying by our pugs on a dog bed.  He is not yet ready to cuddle but will lay on a bed with a person and another dog.  He likes being petted finally but is embarrassed about it.  This week he comes when called but gets nervous about 2 feet away.  Brushing makes Paco calm. He loves treats.  Paco will need an owner who does not let him be a recluse but will pet him and hold him so he has to get used to not being ignored even if that isn't what he wants.  We have been overloading him with attention and he is beginning to enjoy it.

Paco's adoption fee includes: Rabies vaccination, DHPP vaccination, bordetella vaccination, de-wormer, 4DX heartworm/tick disease test, neuter, flea and tick preventive (seasonal), heartworm preventive (seasonal), pre-paid micro-chip, and a full veterinary exam. Adoption fee: $265.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
