My name is Opie (Jax) I am a goofball.  I love kids and put up with about anything little kids can put me through, but I don’t like it much but I do put up with it.  I am still a puppy in some ways.  I love surfing the counter.  My foster mom keeps telling me NO but it is so hard to stop.  I am not a runner and would do ok in a home without a fence, but to keep me safe a fenced in yard or tie out would be best.  I love playing with other dogs.   I am a bit of the bossy type but when my foster mom corrects me and I cut it out.  I am kennel trained and I go right in when I am told to kennel.   But I do need a good kennel because once I am tired of being kenneled I will try to let myself out. I don’t do it very often but I do better if I have a good kennel.   I get a little weird with new people coming around but if my foster parents introduce me to new people I do great, but if someone comes into my yard or house and my foster parents don’t know I feel I have to protect them.  I am totally house broken and know I need to go out to go potty.  But if I am left alone to long and I have to go I have to go.  I am a great boy but need some more training.  I would love to be in a home with another dog to play with.  You have to meet me because once you get some love from me you will fall in love with me even if I have a couple of quarks. . 

Jax's adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, dewormed, Distemper vaccines, Rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, neuter, 4DX, prepaid microchip and heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue.  Adoption fee: $300.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
