Wylee is a 13 week old shepherd mix puppy who is about 22 pounds, he will be a big boy! He came into rescue with his sister, she has since been adopted so now it is Wylee's turn! He is working on his potty training and is doing extremely well - in his foster home, he will go to the door and whine/bark when he needs to potty. Sometimes he can get distracted outside so his people need to remind him what he is out there for on occasion. His crate training is still in its early stages but he has made some progress. He is slowly being introduced to the crate in a positive manner. This means that he is not in his crate for more than 2 hours at a time (unless he is sleeping in his crate next to his fosters bed- he will sleep for 10 hours at a time!). He always gets a super fun and yummy treat when he is in his crate and that keeps him busy for a short period of time. With time and patience, he will do fantastic, for this reason he should be adopted by a family that lives in a single family home so that his whining and barking (when he does get bored and scared in his crate) doesn't bother anyone living in the same building. Prime does well with large and small dogs, he goes to doggy daycare all day and enjoys it immensely. He likes to play with everyone there but also takes cues on when other dogs are willing to play with him and when they are not. Wylee has never been without another dog in the home, he does much better in his crate when it is butted up against another dog so he knows that he can relax. He is good with respectful kids that allow him to get to know them before smothering him with affection. Wylee is very much a lover and bonds quickly with women, it takes a bit longer for men but he gets used to them as well. He is curious about cats and will, on occasion, bark at them and if they run from him - he may chase. He only wants to interact with them, however - he is not aggressive at all. He is a typical puppy, learning that things are not scary, currently we are working on his fear of loud noises while outside. He is getting better with that but it would be best if he was adopted into more of a lid back environment to continue his desensitization. Wylee is the most loving and well behaved puppy and is well on his way to making a great addition to any family.
Wylee's adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, dewormed, Distemper vaccines appropriate for his age, Bordetella vaccine, prepaid microchip and heartworm and flea/tick prevetantive while in rescue. Adoption fee: $300.00 ![]() More about WyleeGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Adults, Requires a yard, Likes to play with toys, Playful, Affectionate, Goofy
