This special boy is Ollie. He is 4 ½ months old, happy, healthy, curious, eager to please, and he has the best personality. He loves playing with toys, chewing bones, running around the (fenced) yard with his foster doggy sisters, and playing ball. Ollie has a lot of energy so exercise is very important for him. He would love a family who understands this and will commit time for spirited play sessions and/or walks every day. Ollie is very affectionate and after a busy day, he loves to snuggle next to us (or on top of us) on the couch. He wants to “belong” and be a part of whatever is going on in the house and he will follow us around from room to room. I think he will bond easily and be very devoted to his new family once he finds them. Ollie is still very young so he is learning everything and will be for quite a while. He is doing fantastic on his potty training. He’s nailed “sit”, and we are just starting with leash walking. We are also working on manners, boundaries (he does try to jump the baby gate when it is up), and the word “no”. He is used to being crated and while he would rather be out, he does fine in there as long as he has soft blankets and a few toys. Ollie loves every person and dog that he meets but his one experience with a cat did not go well. I think he is young enough that he could get over this but it will require patience and time so if you fall in love with Ollie but also have a cat, please know that you will need to work on this. Also, Ollie loves kids, but like every puppy he has a lot of energy and enthusiasm and he is still learning he needs to be calm and gentle around small children. He will need some help with this if his new family has little ones. As Ollie’s fosters, we will love him to pieces, keep him safe, and help him learn while he is with us but we would love nothing more than for him to find his new family and start his new life. We would love for you to meet him. Ollie's adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, dewormed, Distemper vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, rabies vaccine, neuter prepaid microchip and heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue.
