Hi! My name is Kansas and I'm a 5-7 month old (best guess from the vet) German Shepherd/Husky mix, in other words...I'm quite the handsome guy, if you couldn't already tell from my pictures.
I've had a fairly rough start to my life, I was hit by a car and suffered a few bangs and bruises that I'm currently recovering from. Don't let that fool you though, my tail is always waggin'. If there is a human around, you can bet that I'll be right there nuzzled up for some love. I haven't been around any kids yet but because of my age, I'm sure I'd do great with older kids as I do have that puppy energy and like to try to jump from excitement. I'm also a big boy and might knock little ones over. I have not been around cats so I'm not sure if they'd be my friends or not but I can tell you...I love other dogs. In fact, I'm learning a lot from having my foster brother around to help teach me some manners. I like to copy what he does and follow him everywhere. I've mastered this whole potty training business. What can I say?...I'm pretty smart! I'm also nearly crate trained, although you sometimes have to bribe me with a treat but once I'm in you won't hear a peep out of me. At night I sleep next to my foster parents bed on my doggie bed. When the lights go out, I know that means it is bedtime.
I know you're probably thinking that I sound too good to be true and there must be a catch...well, there isn't. I really am great and would love to find my forever family that will enjoy my puppy energy and help continue to teach me my manners.
