Sarah is a 5 month old lab mix who seems to have been through a lot in the short amount of time she has been alive.  When she came to me, she was very shy and timid, not very confident and very submissive to the other dog I am fostering.  In just the week that I have had her, she has really come out of her shell and is much more confident with herself.  She loves to play with tennis balls, but what lab doesn't? :) She will fetch the ball most of the time but she also loves entertaining herself with the tennis balls.  She will bring one tennis ball and drop it by the other one, pick that one up and drop it by another one and almost go in circles.  She also has been sort of flinging the tennis ball herself to go get it.  Very amuzing to watch. She seems to play better when the other foster dog isn't around since the other foster is just a bit older and the "alpha." So she seems to just watch what she does when they are out together.  But when they both want to play, they run in circles and try to catch each other .  She seems to really love to run with the other foster and play with her, but also loves her alone time play.  She does ok with the other foster dog we have but we haven't tried introducing her to cats yet. She also does well around kids; she loves to lick the neighbor kids faces.  She also does really well around my 13 y/o son.

She does still get scared it seems with new people and needs time to warm up to new faces and people coming into the house, but as long as you show her that the person is ok, and have some treats, she seems to warm up.  I do think she will continue to gain more confidence with time.

She walks well on a leash and knows several basic commands- sit, stay, shake.

She is housetrained on a schedule and we are working on her letting me know when she needs to go outside.  We are also working on trying to "do her business" more quickly when we go outside as it does take some time before she does her business both in the morning and night.

She loves getting her belly rubbed at all times.  :)   She loves to cuddle with you at all times.  She wouldn't mind sleeping and cuddling with you all night.  She does ok in the crate, but still does a little whining or barking but I do feel that would get better with time.
