Chad is a gentle giant with a great smile. Although a little shy at first, Chad will love to be by your side once he warms up to you. Usually, it only takes a few good ear scratches to earn Chad’s trust. A perfect gentleman indoors, Chad is perfectly house trained and even taps the door when he needs to go outside. Laying on the couch with his head in your lap and watching TV are Chad’s favorite indoor activities, but he also loves playing in the yard with his fosters’ dogs. Chad prefers to play with people and dogs rather than toys, but he’s getting pretty good at playing fetch. Chad knows some basic commands, but he would probably enjoy a refresher course with his new owner. Chad is crate trained and will willing go in his crate while his fosters go to work, but he prefers not to stay in his crate overnight. Chad does love roaming outside, so a fenced in yard is ideal. Chad also is a little nervous when walking on a leash, especially when cars go by, but he would enjoy a walk in a quiet park. He can forget his own size when he’s playing and may knock over smaller children. Chad really enjoys other dogs, even small ones, a forever home with a friend would be perfect for this big guy.
