Samantha

Since adopting her she quickly became a huge part of our family. Our little daughter loves her and calls her "Mantha" can't pronounce the "Sam" part all that well. We've also moved out to the country and she and her older brother Angus have 5 acres to run around and play in. She loves sitting out at night patrolling our land, keeping us safe in her mind. She now has a new hobby of catching field mice, which my wife is very happy about. We couldn't be happier with her!

Gretta

This sweet little girl joined our family a couple of months ago. The gentlest little girl, Gitta (Gee-ta), formerly Greta, joined us as a foster to adopt. Well the fostering obviously went over great and she became a full fledged member of our team. We have 2 children (1 & 3.5) and a small dog who needed a big dog in his life again (RIP Zeus). She was one if us from the beginning, gentle with the kids, loving of all of our family and friends we've introduced her to, and a total best buddy to Vinny the chihuahua. She's our 3rd rescue and our first from NDLB. Thank you NDLB for all of your help! She was the size/breed we wanted, wonderfully tempered, and fully house trained! The staff at NDLB made sure all if her medical needs were met in the process and supplied us with all records and history we asked for. NDLB, you truly are a great way to match people in need with the pups that need them most. Thank you again! We'll be recommending your services to anyone looking for a new best friend. (In fact, one of our friends just adopted from you too!) She's perfect and we appreciate everything you've done for us. -The Nelson Family

Katniss

Wanted to send a picture and update that Katniss has been doing great. She is getting lots of love and attention and has been a perfect fit for our family. House training has been going great, she is a very smart cookie (too smart) and the kids love everything about her except those baby teeth:) She has a great personality and loves the outdoors. Tria

Tria took on the new name of Berta Mae or "Bertie" when she came to live with us. She truly has become like our baby and goes everywhere with us. I can't believe how well she does in the car, at the cabin, and even on the lake. At just almost 8 months old, she is almost 60 pounds! She loves to play, peanut butter in her Kong, and visit "Mom" at work! She can sit, lay down, stay, speak, retrieve, and even heads to sleep without any trouble when you say, "Bedtime Bertie." She also loves to snuggle and tries to fit in your lap, quite the lover! The beginning was rough as she had an itch when she came to us. We made multiple vet trips testing and treating for what felt like everything. In working with owners of her siblings, we found out she has food allergies. Since starting an organic food and being very watchful of her intake, her itch and coat have greatly improved. Thanks for all your help connecting us with Berta- we would be truly lost without her! Tory

I just wanted to give an update on Tory (now Beezus). It has been nearly 6 months since I adopted Beezus and I could not be happier. She is my constant companion and best buddy. We love going to the dog park, going for walks, playing fetch with toys, and just snuggling on the couch watching TV or reading. She is such a sweet, spunky, wonderful dog. I feel so lucky to have her by my side. This past weekend, I entered her in the Doggie Depot costume contest at Union Depot (she doesn't mind the costume itself and LOVES all of the attention she gets while wearing it). She won first placeand the prize is a 1 hr studio photo session, so I will definitely send some more photos after we do that. I have attached some recent photos, including one in her Halloween costume!
