Say “hi” to Jasper!  This sweet boy is a 12-week-old Rottweiler mix looking for his forever home.  He has bright blue eyes and short, silver fur.  This Alabama boy is adjusting to Minnesota’s winters and has already learned that frozen water (snow) tastes much better than the wet stuff in his bowl.  He is excited for his winter coat to grow so he can spend more time playing outside.

Jasper has started house training and is learning quickly!  He is also learning basic commands (come and sit) and has begun learning how to walk like a little gentleman on the leash.  Also, Jasper recently figured out how to walk up the stairs; however, getting down is still a work-in-progress!  Jasper is eager to please and is very praise motivated.

When encountering new things (loud cars, vacuum cleaners, barking dogs), Jasper initially tends to be timid, but curious, and doesn’t take long to get comfortable. 

With new people, Jasper is friendly and wants to give them a bunch of kisses.  Don’t expect this little guy to protect because he is just a little lover.  He even does well with kids.  Unfortunately, he hasn’t had the chance to be tested with cats, but given his sweet temperament, it is likely he would get along with any humans or animals he encountered.

Jasper’s favorite activities include playing with his squeaky moose or wrestling with his sister, Chloe.  He also enjoys chasing around the tennis ball, but would rather play keep-away than fetch.  Like most puppies, Jasper can get a little nippy when he plays, but is easily corrected and will likely grow out of this behavior.

After burning some of that puppy energy, Jasper loves to cuddle with his human.  He is sweet and enjoys curling up in your lap for a snooze.

At night, Jasper sleeps in a crate with his sister, Chloe.  He does whine a little bit right away because he’d rather be with his people, but doesn’t take long (~5 minutes) to calm down and go to sleep (usually right on top of his sister!).

Jasper is a little puppy with a big heart and would be a great fit for any home.  If you are interested in a sweet, loving pup, Jasper is the perfect boy for you!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. $375.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
