Taco is a very happy boy. He is sweet and loves everybody he meets. He loves other dogs, ignores cats and is great with people of all ages. His favorite activities are getting love, cuddles, getting and giving kisses, playing with other dogs, playing with toys, chewing on his chewies, and going anywhere you go. He rides very well in the car, and he walks best on a harness. He does have lots of energy, so daily exercise is required. He does well in his kennel, and does best on a potty schedule. He hasn't had any accidents in the house, aside from the occasional leg lifting when he first arrived. He sleeps in a kennel at night, and when possible, will sleep in bed or on the couch with his people. He LOVES to snuggle right up to you, the closer the better according to him. He looks at you with a very loving and thankful stare and in that stare, you can tell he is happy and loves you.
Taco is from a reservation. He has an old previous injury on his front right leg. The rescue has addressed this and has consulted with a surgeon on whether or not surgery is in his best interest to have surgery or not. Since he doesnt seem to be in any pain, it's best to leave it the way it is.
He runs, jumps and walks around just fine, but will favor it when he stands in one place or sits. This is more than likely due to his leg being a tad bit shorter than the other one now due to the healed fracture.
Taco is a young pup who would benefit from some basic training. He is treat motivated and when he is by himself, with not many distractions, he is very responsive to you. He is currently working on not jumping up on people, but that is a very difficult one for him to grasp because he loves everybody so much!
Taco is a joy to have around. He would do best in a home with another dog to play with as he has lots of energy to fun off! He would also enjoy frequent trips to the dog park as he loves ALL the dogs.
Taco's adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, neuter, 4DX (tick/heartworm testing), prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
