Hi, my name is Kane, I am a heeler/border collie mix born approximately 4/25/20.  Aren't I adorable, that's what my foster mom says.  I absolutely love everyone I meet, including dogs of all sizes and ages, cats and kitties.  Foster mom says I do everything with complete exuberance.  I love doing zoomies in the fenced yard, and playing fetch with squeaky balls with the resident dogs.  I even bring the ball back half the time.  I do have a rather strong prey drive, but foster mom tries to distract me from that. 

 

I love to rough and tumble with the resident 10 month old pup who has been teaching me how to be a dog.  We wrestle and share toys.  But I also am great at settling down for a rest in my crate.  I just love being able to see my humans and other doggies whenever possible.  I go right to sleep in my crate at night.  I sleep all night and don't make a peep until it is time to get up.  Yes, I can hold doing my business all night long.  Foster mom says I'm such a big boy already!

 

I'm doing a great job on potty training and go outside almost all the time.  Sometimes when I'm playing I do have an accident as I'm having too much fun and just can't hold it.  I'm also still working on walking on a leash.  I prefer to just run and play in the yard.  I haven't been in a car much but do okay on short rides. 

 

I haven't met any young kids yet but hope to soon.  And lucky for me my foster mom is home all the time so I don't have to be left all alone.  But I really like my crate so would probably do fine if I had to be left alone.

 

I'm looking for a furever home of my very own.  I would do best with a fenced yard and another resident doggie to play with as I have a ton of energy.  But as long as I get lots of activity I can adapt to anything.  I'm just that happy of a little guy.  Could you be that special family?  I hope so and I'd love to meet you.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
