My name is Thelma Lou. I am a German Shepard mix born approximately 5/22/20 and I love to cuddle. If I can be close to someone that is when I am happiest.
A good morning for me begins around 5-6am to go outside, sniff the grass, chase a ball, and attend the throne of dog duty. I just love rolling in the grass and am learning to walk along the side of my family on the leash. Then it's cuddles and breakfast.
My foster family has been working with me on learning to sit, stay, lay down, no biting, no, and gentle.
I love to play wrestle so much and am learning how to play with humans. I can be a nibbler, but they just give me a toy or redirect me.
I don't like to bark much and have not barked at the family's cats. In fact, I am a little intimidated by them. Really I just want to play with them, So I've been calm when they come around curious, but my tail is nonstop.
I can get excited and start jumping but am quickly learning it isn't really working for me. So we've been working on my manners.
Wet grass is gross, if I have to I will walk on it, but it's not my favorite yet.
Leash training is weird if I want to run away I can't. So I get frustrated and will refuse to get up. Also chewing on leashes and already trying to lead the way are maybe something I've been testing out on my foster family.
I've had a few accidents, but I was just so excited. I like doing a dance before I have to tinkle. Stairs in small numbers don't scare me either. We haven't tried more than 4 steps yet.
The kennel isn't my first choice, but I am taking to kennel training alright, but really can we just snuggle! Playing with my foster sisters (10&14) is the best ever. I love to tease them and be silly. Waking them up is the best!
