Zayda is such a sweetheart. She is believed to be a 4 year old chihuahua. She came from a breeder, so didn't have the best start to her life. Breeder release dogs will need extra patience in the beginning, and a confident second dog in the home would be beneficial for her, although not required. She does very well with other dogs and takes her cues from them. Zayda is such a sweet little girl, she loves her person once she gets to know them and enjoys belly rubs and ear scratches. She makes the cutest little noises when she is happy. She is very reserved meeting new people though. Zayda makes strides every day in learning how to be a dog. She is starting to show us quite a cheeky, playful side of her, and she is definitely enjoying herself now, but in general, she is pretty quiet and low key. Zayda is potty trained on a schedule, that means she is just fine if you can take her outside every two or so hours. She definitely tries to not go inside the house, and knows that you do that business outside, but she has not yet learned how to tell us when she needs to go out. Her new family will also need to teach her how to navigate steps, especially going down, and how to walk on a leash. Zayda does just fine in a kennel over night, or while her foster family is gone during the day. Her absolute favorite treat is peanut butter in a Kong. Zayda will need someone who is caring, patient, and prove to her that not all humans are scary. Can you be that person for her?

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $ $450.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
