Rey, or Reya as we wind up calling her is 70 pounds of pure love! She’s a Boxer born 3/16/22. She is our
Rey ‘a’ sunshine
as she greets everyone with such enthusiasm and pure joy, you can’t help but love her. To be fair, she can’t hold her licker, but if you tell her "no more kisses,” she’ll stop. Reya is potty trained, dog friendly, cat friendly, and absolutely adores children of all sizes and ages. She is still full of puppy energy and isn’t always great at knowing her size, but is super gentle when she needs to be.
There’s no such thing as personal space with this snuggle bug, as she is happiest when trying to fit on your lap or curl up next to you! She has done great in a kennel, but can also be trusted to roam free. While she enjoys toys to chew on and play tug of war with, she doesn’t chew anything she shouldn’t, even when we are away. She loves car rides and handles them beautifully. She is also getting a lot better walking on a leash. She pulls a little bit, but is learning the command to “leave it,” and will stop pulling when she is told to. Because of her size, she will need reminders so she continues not to pull in the future. The world is such an exciting place, and there are so many good smells, it’s easy to forget! She also enjoys sunbathing in the backyard, but is happiest when she is snuggled next to her humans or playing tug of war with her dog friends.
Reya barks if someone she doesn’t know comes through the door, but can be quickly diverted and is always eager to make new friends. Otherwise, she is not a barker - even when we are away.
With the amount of joy and love she has to share, she is sure to make any family extremely happy! She’s one big sweetheart!
Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination if age appropriate, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00
