Zachary is a Sheepadoodle and is 1 year old. He currently weighs 37lbs and has a beautiful tricolor of cream, caramel, and black on his fluffy fur. He’s excited to be getting his summer haircut in a few days. He enjoys laying on tile or other cool floors to beat the summer heat. He is a product of a puppy mill and was surrendered by his owners. 

Despite his rough start, he quickly warmed up to my 8 and 13 year old children and my 1 year old 11 pound bischon/shitzu. Zachary really wants to play with his puppy friend (who is unsure about this large dog in his home), but doesn’t understand his much larger size and is still learning not to pounce on him. 

Zachary’s breed nips while herding sheep, and we are working on teaching him it’s not ok to do to people or other dog friends. He is still working on his potty training and has a few accidents in the house daily. We are still working on kennel training as well. He has grown attached to his foster mother and cries when she is out of sight. He has broken through one dog crate, and we are still getting him used to being calm in his kennel. 

He loves going for walks every morning and evening, and will go potty outside within about the first minute of being out. He’s very smart, kind, loving and protective of his foster family. He can bark at other dogs while on walks, but is friendly with other dogs. 

He seems to enjoy car rides and enjoys the wind going through his fur. He’s the most sweet and loving snuggle puppy you’ll ever meet!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $850.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
