Kahlia is a fancy lady.  She is gentle and had a quite demeanor. Kahlia is so good about going in her kennel  and is very quite when she is in there.  However I do not believe she needs to be kenneled.  When I am home she is laying at my feet or snuggling on the couch with me.  She is great with other dogs of all sizes, but she does need slow introduction (she gets a bit growly) but then she settles right in to meet her new friends.  Kahlia is not a very active dog but when outside with the other dogs she plays very well.  She also walks nicely on a leash.  Kahlia knows how to ask to go out and has not had one accident since she has been with me.  Kahia does not seem to mind kids but she sticks pretty close to me.  I think older children would be best.  She came to us as an owner surrender and we do not think he treated her very well.   When she came to us she was very scared and she does not like being grabbed by her collar and will buck backwards to get you to let go.  I use a soft ton with her and she responds very nicely to my commands then.  Every day she has come out of her shell even more and now she wags her tail and is happy when I talk to her.   A great home for her would be someone one who has time and patients.  She would also do well being in a home with another dog but not required.   Kahlia is so soft and I just love to pet her and scratch her tummy. 

 Kahlia's adoption fee includes: DHPP vaccinations, Bordetella vaccination, Rabies vaccinations, de-wormer, flea and tick preventative (seasonal), heartworm preventative (seasonal), pre-paid microchip, spay, and a full veterinary exam: $275.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
